Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

We visited with a group of friends and family to celebrate my 50th. Beaches and Dreams has exceeded our expectations.

We are a group of mixed ages and abilities. The resort easily accommodates this variety. The relaxation opportunities are wonderful from lounging to massages to floating in the pool. The opportunities for the more adventurous range from caving to hiking and are breathtaking. The tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Now let’s talk about the staff — or should I say “family” — who work at beaches and dreams. They are wonderful and might even be the best part of the trip. The people are genuine and happy. They are so welcoming and we just felt close to them. They know all of our names and even the bartender knows our itinerary.

I cannot say enough about the employees but an extra special shout out to Ms. P and Ben. Ms P is WONDERFUL. Aside from being a fantastic waitress, she is obviously a WONDERFUL human. She chatted with us in a manner that was genuine and real. I absolutely love her and hope to see her again. Ben is more reserved but his smile lights up the bar. He’s a great bartender and took care of all our special requests. He worked extremely hard while we were visiting and had a smile on his face.

I’m getting long winded so some other helpful details: beds good pillows and towels. Plenty of water in the rooms, small refrigerator, ice outside rooms, nice seating area, great solitary places to relax and great group places to relax.

my husband and i spent our honeymoon at Beaches & Dreams. OMG it was the most AMAZING trip ever! All the staff are so friendly and fun to talk to. we learned so much about the culture and everyones lifestyles in Belize, saw some breathtaking views at Xunantunich, snorkeling, and even saw some howler monkeys and manatees during the river tour! This place was special! It was my kids and husbands first international trip and it couldn’t have been better. First off the people at this resort will exceed your expectations. They smile, they don’t complain, their willingness to help, they share their culture, they are fun and even smile for the camera. They are so organized and keep everything running smoothly. Went to Belize with my dear friend and daughter for a last-minute celebratory 6-night getaway. Loved Hopkins Village and Beaches & Dreams. It's a tight knit staff, comfortable oceanfront rooms and wonderful food. They coordinated all of our tours and help to move tours around when the weather didn't cooperate. While all of the staff work together to make our stay welcoming and memorable, we wanted mention a few by name. Shout outs to Amanda and the rest of the restaurant crew who made every meal a delight, Nadine's help coordinating our tours, Keith's knowledge of Mayan culture and ecology during the cave/Mayan ruin tour, Kimike's and Alvin's sealife spotting (saw a sea turtle, barracuda, nurse shark, and beautiful fish), Terri's firing up the Howler monkeys and his incredible knowledge of local wildlife. Absolutely the most relaxing vacation we have taken. 2 couples, brother/sister and spouse’s. We stayed in the cabana rooms. Spacious room with wonderful location to beach, pool and restaurant, beds are comfortable and the a/c and fans kept the room perfect for us. Loved having the fridge and water bottle in the room. Loved the private patio.

Restaurant and bar, lots of food to eat everyday, we had to cut back drastically as there was so much. Enough of a variety for a weeks stay. Loved the fresh made everything. Loved the staff who got to know us pretty quickly. Shout out to Ben, Amanda, Kelsey. Mrs. P. And Doreen. All were great.

Loved that we choose our excursions ahead of time and had our days planned out. We did Bioluminescence tour, snorkeling, ruin and cave tubing, ATV, and monkey river tours. Great tour guides, KMiike was wonderful in the water tours.

We felt spoiled by all staff. We loved the small all inclusive feel over a Larger resort. Would highly recommend the resort and Hopkins village.

Read the information posted when making a reservation, they are very upfront with what is offered, available and costs.

Notes = they can’t control the weather or the sand bugs. But they do offer suggestions for both, so there are no surprise.

Use a golf cart to visit the village, a small town close by.
