Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

Beaches and Dreams was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting Hopkins Village in Belize. We are a family of four with a 9 year old and an almost 3yr old. The staff was amazing. The sales/lobby staff including Darnel were great at communicating and planning excursions that elevated our trip while still giving us downtime to really enjoy our stay. We stayed in the "Treehouse " room which was a great space for a young family. The ability to be close to Hopkins yet have space and a quiet homebase for us was a must and this was the perfect location for just that. The resort staff was willing to do anything they could to assist us. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Having the Baracuta restraunt right there was also a great addition. The wait staff at the Baracuta made my family feel welcome at each meal and the food was always excellent. Special shout out to Amanda and Kelsy who were both so friendly that by the end both my kids wanted to make sure to say goodbye and even got hugs. We took advantage of several tours during our stay as well. The tour guides were all knowledgeable and welcoming. Manuel who took us to the Mayan ruins and the spice farm was the perfect guy for the job, Victor who took us bird watching was excellent and his love for birds was obvious and contagious. Captain Floyd and his team who took us snorkeling were friendly and knowledgeable, also patient with us bringing along a 3 year old who was obviously not going to be the best at snorkeling. And Oz who took drove us to our Monkey River tour was friendly and informative along our drive. An all around amazing experience. Couldn't have asked for a better staff from Resort to restaurant to tours everyone was amazing. Definitely recommend if staying in Hopkins Village. - Casey - 3/13/2025 

Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

This place was special! It was my kids and husbands first international trip and it couldn’t have been better. First off the people at this resort will exceed your expectations. They smile, they don’t complain, their willingness to help, they share their culture, they are fun and even smile for the camera. They are so organized and keep everything running smoothly. The rooms are great! A wide variety of activities to do and the guides are so amazing! We loved every minute, loved Hopkins, loved the people. Mike and I are ready to go back. My husband and I recently had our honeymoon here and I had to say it was by far the best honeymoon that I could have ever imagined. staff are super friendly. We had eyes be one of our tour guides for one of our excursions to the Mayan runes and going cave tubing was an amazing experience with him as our guy does well. food there was phenomenal never disappointed. We celebrate our 25th anniversary there and it was a dream come true! From the easy booking to the amazing communication and absolutely stunning atmosphere, we would love to come back! The staff are second to none and you really feel like they want to have the best experience! They each remembered our name, our food preferences and even where we like to sit in the restaurant. my husband and i spent our honeymoon at Beaches & Dreams. OMG it was the most AMAZING trip ever! All the staff are so friendly and fun to talk to. we learned so much about the culture and everyones lifestyles in Belize, saw some breathtaking views at Xunantunich, snorkeling, and even saw some howler monkeys and manatees during the river tour! We had a great time staying at Beaches & Dreams. Everyone who works there really cares about providing the best experience possible for their guests. I want to thank Miss Lauren for accommodating my schedule change requests which enabled us to snorkel on a Friday that turned out to be the perfect day for snorkeling. I want to help thank Nadine and Darnell for helping us with our reservations and answering our many questions.

I want to thank Keith especially for being an amazing and patient tour guide. I want to thank the snorkeling guides but I don’t remember their names. They were wonderful. I also want to thank Manuel who took us on two tours and was fun and very knowledgeable. The front desk staff were also wonderful Marissa, Maritchka (so?), Justin, Darnel, and Darnel. Oz, our driver was also really great and we just loved his daughter. The kitchen staff are fantastic as well - especially the chef who always came to check on us Miss P, who was always so sweet and cheerful in the morning and Amanda, who was our photographer for our unforgettable honeymoon dinner.
