Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

Went to Belize with my dear friend and daughter for a last-minute celebratory 6-night getaway. Loved Hopkins Village and Beaches & Dreams. It's a tight knit staff, comfortable oceanfront rooms and wonderful food. They coordinated all of our tours and help to move tours around when the weather didn't cooperate. While all of the staff work together to make our stay welcoming and memorable, we wanted mention a few by name. Shout outs to Amanda and the rest of the restaurant crew who made every meal a delight, Nadine's help coordinating our tours, Keith's knowledge of Mayan culture and ecology during the cave/Mayan ruin tour, Kimike's and Alvin's sealife spotting (saw a sea turtle, barracuda, nurse shark, and beautiful fish), Terri's firing up the Howler monkeys and his incredible knowledge of local wildlife. This place has exceeded our expectations 10 fold. From the moment we have arrived till right now as I’m sitting in a chair at cabana village with a cold beer looking at the beautiful ocean. If the views don’t wow you the staff will. The food is amazing wait staff and bar tenders make sure you’re taken care of. Some of the most genuinely nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. They go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing time. Tomorrow is our last full day and I’m dreading saying bye to everyone . Ryan and Jess thank you from the bottom of our hearts . You have made this the absolute best vacation we have ever had and if I could rate this 100 stars I would . Beaches and Dreams is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem.

Every excursion was incredible. The snorkeling was crystal-clear and unforgettable, and the Mayan ruins paired with cave tubing was so much fun, and the waterfall repel and zip line was hands-down one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I even caught a Barracuda while fishing and the chef cooked it fried and grilled!

The beach itself is stunning—peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what you imagine when you picture Belize. I stayed in a beachfront cabana, which was amazing. Waking up to the ocean steps from your door never gets old.

And the food—wow. The chef is absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, the nightly specials—every single meal was outstanding. It felt like a culinary experience, not just resort food.

What truly sets Beaches and Dreams apart, though, is the hospitality. It’s beyond awesome. Everyone introduces themselves, learns your name, and genuinely cares about your experience. It’s elegant and classy, and feels like family. You don’t feel like a guest—you feel like you belong.

People like Kmike, King, Moses, Floyd, Keith, Darlene, Oz, Justin (best bartender!), and so many others made this stay unforgettable. By the end, it felt like I’d been coming here for years.

And Belize is an amazing place. It’s beautiful and the people/culture is unlike any other place I have visited. I have vacationed all over the world, and there is something truly unique and special about this place. I can’t describe it - you just have to visit.

my husband and i spent our honeymoon at Beaches & Dreams. OMG it was the most AMAZING trip ever! All the staff are so friendly and fun to talk to. we learned so much about the culture and everyones lifestyles in Belize, saw some breathtaking views at Xunantunich, snorkeling, and even saw some howler monkeys and manatees during the river tour! Beaches and Dreams was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting Hopkins Village in Belize. We are a family of four with a 9 year old and an almost 3yr old. The staff was amazing. The sales/lobby staff including Darnel were great at communicating and planning excursions that elevated our trip while still giving us downtime to really enjoy our stay. We stayed in the "Treehouse " room which was a great space for a young family. The ability to be close to Hopkins yet have space and a quiet homebase for us was a must and this was the perfect location for just that. The resort staff was willing to do anything they could to assist us. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Having the Baracuta restraunt right there was also a great addition. The wait staff at the Baracuta made my family feel welcome at each meal and the food was always excellent. Special shout out to Amanda and Kelsy who were both so friendly that by the end both my kids wanted to make sure to say goodbye and even got hugs. We took advantage of several tours during our stay as well. The tour guides were all knowledgeable and welcoming. Manuel who took us to the Mayan ruins and the spice farm was the perfect guy for the job, Victor who took us bird watching was excellent and his love for birds was obvious and contagious. Captain Floyd and his team who took us snorkeling were friendly and knowledgeable, also patient with us bringing along a 3 year old who was obviously not going to be the best at snorkeling. And Oz who took drove us to our Monkey River tour was friendly and informative along our drive. An all around amazing experience. Couldn't have asked for a better staff from Resort to restaurant to tours everyone was amazing. Definitely recommend if staying in Hopkins Village. - Casey - 3/13/2025

Our week at Beaches and Dreams will live as one of the most memorable vacations we've had. I would not hesitate to book this resort again. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and seemed always to be working hard at making sure guests are getting everything they need and having a great time. The resort itself is very small, so we ran into many of the same people daily which we thought was very nice. Even when we took a golf cart into the village we found the people to be very friendly. I would absolutely suggest booking the food and drink package, we're so glad we did as the meals were so delicious and with the different nightly specials there were plenty of choices. There are bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards available to borrow, golf carts available to rent, and you can arrange shuttles; all making it really easy to get around. We also booked several tours with the resort, and had a great time at every one. We are beach walkers, and were really happy to find out that Hopkins keeps its sand and water open to everyone so we were able to walk the beach as far as we wanted. We have been to many places over the years but I don't think any other destination tops the level of service, friendliness, and food we found at B&D. Thank you for a great week! - Crystal - 2/12/2026
